About Author

Keith Allen Guther was born in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1975 and was introduced to darts at a young age by his father. What began as a childhood pastime quickly grew into a lifelong passion. By his early twenties, Keith was competing in local dart tournaments, where he earned a reputation for consistency, focus, and competitive skill, winning dozens of events throughout his twenties and thirties. Darts was more than a game to him; it was a discipline that rewarded patience, precision, and mental toughness, qualities that would later prove essential in his life beyond the board.

After a devastating injury left him with a broken neck, torn shoulder tendons resulting in a lifelong disability, Keith returned to darts with a renewed purpose. The game became a tool for physical recovery and mental healing, helping him preserve strength, mobility, and resilience. Years later, while training a new player alongside his three sons, Keith was encouraged to document his approach. Following a nearly fatal event, he recognized the importance of sharing what he had learned. A Killer Guide to Darts: A Manual for Players of All Skill Levels to Improve Their Game was born from that realization, written to pass on not only practical instruction, but also the deeper lessons darts can teach about confidence, perseverance, and lifelong passion for growth.
